Summary

A soldier of outstanding ability, Ye Zhao was a Song Dynasty soldier. Zhao has been disguised as a boy throughout childhood, so only a select few outside her family are aware that she is actually a woman. Her family of warriors allowed her to accompany them, and eventually join them. She was dressed and taught like a boy. After her father and brother were killed in an invasion, she took control of the Ye army to defend her home, eventually rising to the rank of general. In the series, Zhao is promoted to general, and her true identity is revealed to the Imperial court shortly after. Empresa is feared that Ye Zhao has too much power, so the Dowager uses her knowledge of Zhao’s gender in order to betroth Ye Zhao to a nephew of the Emperor and force her to move to the capital. iancé is the Prince of NanpinZhao Yujin, Prince of Nanping, who was born beautiful red, lazy, and spends his time on “useless” artistic pursuits.
